EHS Analyst
Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking an EHS Analyst to support environmental, health, and safety initiatives at the Jonesville, SC site. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Jonesville, SC—or active-duty military service members—will be considered. No relocation assistance or immigration sponsorship is available for this role.
About the role
Supports the site in achieving EHS targets and objectives, developing and maintaining goals aligned with corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives. Facilitates risk assessments, engages all shifts with daily communications, and promotes a zero-incident EHS culture.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate risk assessments to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
- Support site leadership in creating EHS targets and objectives based on key risks.
- Develop and conduct required EHS training and campaigns.
- Engage the site MESH Team in ownership of MESH elements.
- Complete annual compliance evaluations for EHS regulations with leadership and MESH champions.
- Manage EHS data using platforms like Benchmark (injuries, illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, action items).
- Ensure key EHS operational controls are in place, maintained, and action items resolved timely.
- Coordinate industrial hygiene assessments (e.g., noise, hex chrome, welding) and employee medical evaluations (e.g., respirator use).
- Attend and manage incident investigations (injuries, spills, property damage, near misses), ensuring on-time closure and escalation of corrective actions.
- Assist with layered process audits for EHS processes (e.g., SWPP, SPCC, air permit checks, daily safety walks, waste inspections) and ensure follow-through.
- Manage ISO 14001 actions using a project plan approach and provide weekly status updates.
- Support problem-solving and tier meetings for various value streams.
- Support the Emergency Response Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in EHS program management and/or employee EHS training.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental discipline.
- OSHA and Environmental compliance management experience.
- Active involvement with Emergency Response Teams (ERT).
- Strong EHS background with emphasis on environmental programs.
- Skilled in industrial hygiene oversight and implementation.
- Experience in heavy industrial environments, including fabrication and welding operations.
