EH&S Manager

About the role

Loenbro is a trusted, long-term construction lifecycle partner serving customers across the U.S. in industries including Critical Electrical, Mechanical & Structural, Soft Crafts, Inspection, Underground Maintenance and Installation, and Fabrication. The EH&S Manager establishes and promotes a culture of safety at assigned sites, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations while minimizing risks and reducing workplace accidents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EHS protocols at a specific site to maintain the highest standards of workplace safety and health.
• Conduct regular audits, provide training, and implement EHS programs.
• Assess potential hazards and risks within operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Collaborate with departments and site leadership to support the organization’s safety commitment.

Requirements

• OSHA 30 required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial or industrial construction, including manufacturing, pipeline, mining, food and beverage, power, and refining environments, with at least 5 years in a safety role.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and other applicable codes/regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CSST or BCSP preferred.
• OSHA 500 preferred.
• MSHA Certification or background preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Mix of indoor office settings and outdoor construction sites.
• Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures.
• Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
• Exposure to areas with limited visibility.
• Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to enter/exit trenches and access elevated platforms (e.g., scaffolding at significant heights).
• Lifting equipment and materials weighing 1–50 pounds up to 50% of the time monthly.
• If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability are required; all drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
• Compliance with all applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro’s EH&S policies is required.
