EH&S Coordinator

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and coordination of all plant EHS programs and policies.
• Conduct daily safety walks, inspections, and audits within all production and support areas.
• Aid with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), behavior-based safety processes, and risk elimination activities.
• Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Maintain EHS documentation, training records, and compliance files.
• Aid with OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory compliance tasks.
• Care for environmental programs such as waste management, stormwater, air emissions, and recycling.
• Deliver or assist with employee safety training for all shifts.
• Support the plant Safety Committee and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Track and report safety metrics, near misses, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Aid with emergency response plans, drills, and preparedness activities.
• Conduct PPE assessments, ergonomic reviews, and hazard identification activities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical training in Safety, Environmental Science, Manufacturing, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred but not required).
• 1–3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment; metals or extrusion experience a plus.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
• Proactive and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 30 CPR/First Aid
• Safety-related certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, OSHA 10, Certified Industrial Hygienist)
