Effector Power Senior Test Engineer

About the role

The EAP Department is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of power systems from all round to the lowest level power regulation; servo electronics supporting all mechanical motion in our products and low noise mixed signal electronics that provides analog to digital interface to our front-end sensors; Telemetry and Flight Termination products. Each of these products generally operates in lower power and voltage ranges less than 10kW and 1000V.

Responsibilities

  • Perform circuit card testing and troubleshooting to the component level utilizing schematics and test equipment.
  • Work with a team of engineers performing electrical tests and troubleshooting on subassemblies, assemblies, and systems for conformance to specifications.
  • Advanced understanding and ability to apply the theory of operation for the unit under test to enable determination of faulty product for design, workmanship, environmental and/or component defects.
  • Work on systems validation, test and analysis while working through all phases of integration, and test validation activities within the Labs.
  • Ensure customer success through the development and execution of innovative and comprehensive test, verification, and validation strategies, processes, tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Experience with prints, schematics, sketches, and test procedures.
  • Experience troubleshooting circuit cards, at the component level.
  • Experience with using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators or spectrum analyzers.

Qualifications

  • A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience performing engineering tests such as ATP (Acceptance Test Procedure), DVT (Design Verification Test) and DMV (Design Margin Verification).
  • A self-starter, a quick learner, be able to function in a dynamic environment, and have good time management skills.
  • Should have an appreciation for how successful teams are structured.
  • Knowledge of programmable electronic parts including microcontrollers and FPGA’s.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills as well as strong written/verbal communication skills.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.

9/80 schedule (every other Friday off)
