About the role
The Department of Industrial Relations seeks an Analyst II EEO Investigator to join its team. This role involves performing complex activities related to violations of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Workplace Violence and Bullying Prevention Policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough and unbiased investigations into allegations of harassment and discrimination, workplace violence, and bullying.
- Gather evidence, analyze information, and make well-informed recommendations for corrective action.
- Develop and evaluate program policies and procedures.
- Provide recommendations for reasonable and religious accommodation, and employee engagement.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff at all levels both within and outside of DIR.
- Utilize the Internet, email, desktop applications, and presentation software to complete assignments.
Requirements
The Analyst II must handle sensitive and confidential materials professionally and establish cooperative working relationships with others.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to persons with State Restriction of Appointments (SROA) or Surplus status. Applicants must attach a copy of their most recently dated letter specifying their designation as either SROA or surplus candidate as proof.

- Knowledge of conducting investigations, analyzing complaints, and familiarity with confidentiality requirements.
- Knowledge of investigative techniques, methodologies, and best practices.
- Understanding of conflict resolution and mediation strategies.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Proficient in thorough research and gathering evidence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain objectivity and impartiality throughout investigations.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Competence in report writing and documentation.
