EEG Technologist

Principal Job Functions

• Performs testing procedures including EEG's, evoked potentials and CVE monitoring as assigned.
• Performs training and clinical supervision of other electroneurodiagnostic personnel; develops, updates and maintains training program for CVE monitoring.
• Prepares and adjusts daily work schedule to accommodate neurodiagnostic and CVE procedures as needed.
• Maintains and cleans equipment including electrodes, EEG and evoked potential equipment.
• Completes documentation thoroughly and accurately.
• Corrects and reports equipment malfunctions; maintains a log of actions taken including notification of vendors when needed.
• Performs mobile EEG services.
• Maintains and performs appropriate storage of neurodiagnostic medical records.

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum of two (2) years post-high school coursework in science or math required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Successful completion of Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist OR Registered Evoked Potential Technologist OR Certificate in Neurophysiological Monitoring credentials required.
