EEG Tech Per Diem / Voorhees

Work schedule: Virtua System rotation coverage required based on need.

About the Role

The neurology technician is responsible for providing various electroencephalogram studies (Routine, Sleep Deprived, LTM EEG) as ordered by a physician for patients from adult to geriatric age. In addition, this individual will act as a super-user/system administrator for the digital EEG system and long-term EEG monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs various types of encephalogram studies.
• Maintains the digital EEG and long-term monitoring systems.
• Clips long-term monitoring studies to reduce required server space.
• Obtains patient history from medical record and documents information in digital EEG system.
• Ensures patient orders and charges are correct and appropriate.

Requirements

• A minimum of one year of adult experience is preferred, must be in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of digital EEG systems is preferred.
• ABRET pathways considered.
• High school education; college education preferred.
• Graduate of accredited EEG program preferred.
• Must qualify for ABRET registry examination under at least ONE current ABRET pathway.

Qualifications

• BLS certification.
• Board eligible via ABRET pathway.
• R.EEG.T Registry within two years of hire.

Pay

$28.63 - $44.54 hourly.
