Responsibilities

Performs Electroencephalographic exams.

Performs other tasks as instructed by Director.

Provides exceptional patient and customer care.

Reduces patient’s or customer’s fear and anxiety through clear communication.

Participates in performance improvement and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Education Requirements: High School degree or equivalent; Completion of EEG training from an educational institution on EEG application; Registry eligible
  • Experience: 1 year; 3 preferred
  • Skills: Basic PC knowledge and Medical Terminology; must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS Certification; currently registered or registry eligible with ABRET (American Board of Registered Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists) within 2 years of hire.

About the role

The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.
