Job Summary
You will design, organize, implement, and evaluate evidence-based educational programs, orientations, and continuing education. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring quality, safety, and service in patient and family-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the professional growth, skill development, and competency of staff, ensuring these programs primarily support the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals.
- Observe clinical staff and students for any learning needs or deficiencies and provide education as appropriate.
- Aid in the management of orientation of hospital personnel and students, including providing educational resources and serving as the resource person and mentoring staff as appropriate.
- Collaborate with appropriate hospital departments to ensure unit-specific competencies are developed and maintained, and assist management as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of current regulatory requirements to ensure hospital staff and students are in compliance.
- Aid in the development of department and hospital policies and procedures, including researching relevant content and providing appropriate updates.
- Assist in the development, scheduling, delivery, and evaluation of clinical systems educational programs and services.
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor's of Science Nursing and three years clinical education, project management, and database management experience, upon hire.
- Required: Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire.
- Required: Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
- Preferred: Master's of Science Nursing and clinical education experience in an acute care hospital, upon hire.
Pay
$61.80 - $83.83 /hour
