Education Law Attorney

About the role

The Mid-sized education law firm seeks an attorney to join its Student and Labor, Employment & Personnel practice groups. Candidates will be considered for the DWK office in Fresno.

Responsibilities

• Labor, employment and personnel experience
• Prior experience conducting investigations and/or administrative hearings
• Litigation and/or administrative process experience, including handling discovery and preparing pleadings; experience in mediations, arbitrations, and/or trials a plus
• Special education due process and student discipline experience preferred
• Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills
• Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities
• Public entity representation is preferred but not required; and prior school district representation is a plus

Requirements

• Admission to the California State Bar

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience, including the above qualifications

Pay

The annual salary range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $130,000 to $175,000. The final annual salary offered will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
