Education Instructor PRN McKay Dee Hospital
Pay Rate: $20.45 - $27.04 per hour, dependent upon experience.
Shift Details: PRN positions (zero budget hours). Classes are typically held on Saturday mornings once or twice a month, with potential weekday evenings once a month.
About the Role
Education Instructor to teach the Boot Camp for New Dads course curriculum at McKay-Dee Hospital. Caregivers will be employed through Community Education Services and must attend the Boot Camp for New Dads coach training in Denver, Colorado on October 9-10, 2026.
Location: McKay-Dee Hospital, Ogden, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Teach approved curriculum and review/revise as appropriate.
- Keep materials up-to-date and adequately stocked; maintain supplies, clean as necessary, and store appropriately.
- Organize meeting space and set-up needs.
- Complete all tracking/monitoring documentation as needed.
- Review evaluation forms and other feedback; respond appropriately to improve the program.
- Work with supervisor to conduct overall course reviews and make revisions to curriculum and materials at appropriate intervals.
- Arrive promptly, including time for room and audiovisual preparation prior to classes.
- Come well prepared to teach each session.
- Enthusiastically and strategically manage a classroom of new and expecting fathers.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to instruct others.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Six months of previous experience in the healthcare field.
- Parenting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- BLS Certification.
- Childbirth Educator Instructor Certification.
- First Aid Instructor Certification.
- Fitness Instructor Certification.
- Strong hearing/listening and speaking skills.
