Education Instructor BLS PRN

On-site at Logan Regional Hospital in Logan, Utah. This PRN (as-needed) position teaches BLS (Basic Life Support) classes; experience teaching ALS (Advanced Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Teaches approved curriculum and reviews/revises as appropriate.
• Keeps materials up-to-date and adequately stocked.
• Maintains material and supplies, cleaning as necessary and storing appropriately.
• Organizes meeting space and meeting set-up needs.
• Completes all tracking/monitoring documentation as needed.
• Reviews evaluation forms and other feedback and responds appropriately to improve the program.
• Works with supervisor to do an overall course review and make appropriate revisions to the curriculum and class materials at appropriate intervals and whenever requested.
• Arrives promptly including time for room and audiovisual preparation prior to classes.
• Comes well prepared to teach each session.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to instruct others.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
• Six months previous healthcare field experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• BLS Certification
• Childbirth Educator Instructor Certification
• First Aid Instructor Certification
• Fitness Instructor Certification

Pay

$20.45 - $27.04 per hour, dependent upon experience.
