Education Aide

BASIC FUNCTION OF EDUCATION AIDE:

Assist the Teacher and Assistant Teacher in providing a safe learning environment and implementing planned classroom activities to provide an educationally sound experience, which meets the individual needs of the children.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF EDUCATION AIDE:

• Aid in planning activities
• Support educational activities that align with individual children’s learning outcomes
• Supervise designated groups of children
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly physical environment
• Report any health or behavioral issues to the Teacher
• Engage parents and support their involvement throughout ECD
• Fulfill Mandated Reporter responsibilities
• Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS OF EDUCATION AIDE:

• H.S. or G.E.D. required
• Credits in ECE preferred
• Two years of related experience in an early childhood program desired

SALARY DESCRIPTION:

$16.68 per hour
