Editor (Part Time)
About the role
We are seeking a detail-driven editorial professional to support high-velocity digital publishing with precision, speed, and strong editorial judgment. This remote opportunity offers the chance to help shape polished, accurate, and publication-ready content across editorial, show, and social formats while keeping workflows moving smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Copyedit editorial pieces, show titles and descriptions, and social content with strong attention to grammar, punctuation, structure, taste, and style.
- Coordinate copy flow with editors and fact checkers to support a continuous deadline environment.
- Use WordPress to build and maintain pages within the website.
- Review content under deadline pressure while helping ensure published material is accurate, polished, and ready for release.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of recent experience as a copy editor for a daily publication.
- Knowledge of Chicago and AP styles.
- Must have prior experience working within Media & Journalism.
- Sports experience highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to edit for structure, taste, grammar, punctuation, and style under deadline pressure.
- Proficiency working with multiple editors in a continuous deadline environment.
- Experience using WordPress to build and maintain pages, plus working knowledge of web-based production tools.
