Part-Time Content Editor

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and proofread content for websites, blogs, newsletters, email campaigns, social media, marketing materials, and internal communications.
• Review and refine content to ensure consistency in tone, style, grammar, and brand messaging.
• Collaborate with marketing, leadership, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to develop content that supports business goals.
• Conduct research to create accurate, informative, and engaging content on a variety of topics.
• Optimize content for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and digital best practices.
• Edit and revise content based on feedback while maintaining message clarity and overall quality.
• Develop compelling headlines, calls-to-action, and messaging that drive engagement.
• Ensure all content aligns with company branding, voice, and editorial guidelines.
• Assist with content planning, editorial calendars, and content strategy initiatives.
• Monitor content performance and make recommendations for improvements when appropriate.
• Support special projects and communications initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of professional content writing, editing, or copywriting experience.
• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and grammar skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
• Experience creating content for digital platforms, websites, blogs, and email campaigns.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize work effectively.
• Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems (CMS).
• Experience using tools such as WordPress, Google Analytics, Asana, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Portfolio or writing samples demonstrating a range of content styles and formats preferred.
