About the role

The Shipping EDI Clerk plays a crucial role in managing the stretch wrap operation, attaching identifying tags or labels to materials or containers, performing data entry, consolidating loads, and occasionally operating a forklift. The position requires good knowledge of the shipping layout, item identification codes, and basic shipping procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation of stretch wrapping equipment.
• Attach identifying tags or labels to loads.
• Attach container labels on the outside of the stretch wrap.
• Verify load counts and make necessary COMN system adjustments.
• Combine jobs on a pallet if customer request.
• Repair damaged loads.
• Maintain housekeeping in the stretch wrapper area.

Requirements

• Experience using shrink-wrap and strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, strapping and stretch wrapping tools and equipment, may require skill in operating/using forklift truck.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand or sit for the entire duration of your shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
