About the role

This role serves as a hands-on EDI/API integration specialist, responsible for backfilling operational duties on the Systems Digitalization team. The position is critical to maintaining the existing supplier integration network while enabling future growth. This individual will work directly with over 3,000 suppliers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to onboard suppliers, resolve integration issues, and ensure reliable electronic transaction flow.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day EDI/API operations supporting the supplier network.
  • Troubleshoot end-to-end integration issues across internal SAP systems, EDI VANs, supplier VAN providers, and supplier systems.
  • Lead supplier onboarding for EDI and API integrations, including data collection, validation, and coordination.
  • Guide suppliers through root cause analysis using structured debugging approaches.
  • Partner with IT and external vendors on configuration, issue resolution, and enhancements.
  • Support API certificate management and technical access requirements.
  • Participate in supplier calls as a technical subject matter expert and advisor.
  • Independently manage multiple issues and priorities in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

  • Experience with EDI transactions (e.g., 830, 850, 855, 856, 862, 997).
  • Familiarity with EDI VANs and B2B integration models.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (ECC and/or S/4HANA) in a supply chain or procurement context.
  • Experience supporting supplier onboarding and external integrations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple systems and organizations.
  • Strong communication skills to work directly with suppliers and non-technical stakeholders.
