About the role

The University of Virginia's School of Education and Human Development seeks qualified applicants for the Department of Human Services to teach and provide content expertise for programs in Counselor Education during the 2026-2027 academic year and 2027 summer. Positions will be filled on an as-needed basis according to curriculum needs.

Responsibilities

  • Teach one or more courses for one or two academic terms.
  • Provide content expertise for programs in Counselor Education.
  • May be paid via Period Activity Pay.

Requirements

  • A terminal degree in an appropriate field of study for the course to be taught.
  • A strong commitment to teaching excellence.
  • Previous K-12 or higher education teaching experience in the course content area is strongly preferred.
