EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (ETS)
- Assists staff and students in a variety of technology related issues and activities, including but not limited to installing software/updates, imaging computers, performing password resets and facilitating schools IT work orders
- Assists in presenting new software to students and staff utilizing a variety of teaching methods
- Assists students, individually or in groups with lesson assignments and projects
- Reinforces learning concepts
- Confers with classroom teacher on progress of students
- Organizes software according to teacher's needs
- Provides basic technical support for computers, printers, interactive whiteboards, etc.
- Supports teachers with district approved curriculum software, and with district supported productivity software
- Reports and submits work orders on inoperative equipment to the appropriate individual
- Prints student's writing and art work
- Customizes media to meet teacher's particular needs
- Distributes and collects classroom materials and prepares computer lab for use
- Orders supplies and equipment
- Maintains student and attendance records
- Maintains computer lab bulletin boards
- Observes progress and problem areas of students for referral to the teacher
- Affords basic technical support for students in the computer lab
- Manages school technology inventory
- Works with Assessment about SBAC duties
PARAEDUCATOR AIDE I
- Assists teaching staff in a variety of classroom and school related activities
- Typing tests, correspondence, and routine narrative and statistical reports
- Corrects student papers and homework
- Distributes and collects classroom materials and prepares classroom and audio-visual equipment for use
- Orders supplies and equipment
- Maintains student and attendance records
- Maintains classroom bulletin boards
- Counts school lunch money
- Supervises students taking tests
- Observes progress and problem areas of students for referral to the teacher
- Maintains safety and discipline by supervising and/or assisting in the supervision of students on playgrounds, in lunchrooms, school halls, library, study halls, and with the loading and unloading of buses at school and on field trips
- Verifies that students out of class have hall passes
- Enforces school rules and regulations
- Insures that students leaving campus are authorized to do so, and that students on campus are students of the school
- Operates common office machines
- Performs clerical duties as assigned
