ED Technician (Full-Time, Day Shift)
About the role
Located in a tight-knit community in Kings County, Adventist Health Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. We are comprised of a 173-bed hospital and many outpatient clinics with primary and specialty care services. Hanford residents are proud of their city's historic charm and family-friendly atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Assists the Registered Nurse (RN) and physician with assessments, examinations and treatments.
- Documents patient care performed, including vital signs, bedside care and observations.
- Maintains state of readiness by maintaining equipment/supplies appropriate to the position.
- Affords patient and family education within scope of practice.
- Records and collects specimens.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification: Preferred Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (CMA) or Paramedic certification: Preferred Phlebotomist Technician license: Preferred Facility Specific License/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or National Emergency Medical Tech (NEMT) or Paramedic (PM): Required
Qualifications
Prioritizes patient care and department needs, sets goals, and organizes time to meet daily demands of nursing care. Observes, documents and reports patient condition and changes in condition to the RN, MD/Provider.

Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $25.00 to $31.84. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. Shift Length: 12 Hours
