About the Role
Support patient care in a fast-paced hospital emergency department by assisting clinical staff, performing technical tasks, and ensuring a safe, efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in direct patient care under RN supervision
- Answer phones and perform order entry
- Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing
- Ensure patient safety and deliver excellent customer service
- Prioritize tasks based on patient acuity and department needs
- Support behavioral health patients
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a nursing assistant, medical assistant, or EMT
- Emergency department experience
- Current BLS certification
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Successful completion of a physical agility exam
