About the Role

Support patient care in a fast-paced hospital emergency department by assisting clinical staff, performing technical tasks, and ensuring a safe, efficient environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in direct patient care under RN supervision
  • Answer phones and perform order entry
  • Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing
  • Ensure patient safety and deliver excellent customer service
  • Prioritize tasks based on patient acuity and department needs
  • Support behavioral health patients
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a nursing assistant, medical assistant, or EMT
  • Emergency department experience
  • Current BLS certification
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred
  • Successful completion of a physical agility exam
