About the role

The ED Technician performs direct and indirect patient care tasks as delegated by the Registered Nurse, functioning under their direction and supervision. This role provides basic patient care in the emergency room setting, including bathing and hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition feeding and hydration, and ambulation and positioning. The ED Technician supports patient safety and satisfaction through regular patient rounds, maintaining emergency department-specific competency, and effective communication with all team members.

Requirements

  • Applicable experience: 1 year
  • Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
  • Nursing assistant certification or EMT certification (equivalent to 6 months of experience)
  • Six months or greater experience as an ED Technician or EMT preferred
  • Applicants with no experience must successfully complete the SLHS nursing support training program as a condition of hire

Full Time, Night shift (United States of America)
