ED Tech - Urgent Care - Torrey Pines

About the role

This is a full-time position (72 hours every 2 weeks) with 12-hour DAY shifts located at Scripps Green Urgent Care in Torrey Pines. This rotating work schedule includes weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency department or urgent care by performing basic emergency medical procedures as directed under supervision.
• Assists nurses and physicians in the performance of their functions.
• Performs assessment of vital signs, thermal applications, non-sterile soaks, application of simple dressings and splints, stool and urine collection.
• Prepares patients for examinations/treatments including draping patients, opening sterile supplies, set up and removal of IV’s.
• Aid in collection of patient history and ensures confidentiality of records.

Requirements

• Certified CA state issued EMT (EMT, AEMT or Paramedic) or CAN
• BLS Healthcare Provider Certifications through American Heart Association
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
