ED Tech - Emergency Department

About the role

Be Part of Something New in Bluffton! Novant Health is expanding! We are seeking ED Techs for our brand-new, 11-bed Freestanding Emergency Department opening this May in Bluffton, SC.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs and report abnormal findings.
• Monitor patient status and cardiac rhythms, alerting RNs to any acute changes in condition.
• Stock and organize trauma bays and exam rooms with essential medical supplies.
• A variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
• Responsible for completing a variety of department specific tasks to assist with optimal department safety and functioning.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: Prefer at least one year Nurse Aide experience. Experience in basic patient care, phlebotomy, EKG in an emergency or outpatient setting highly desirable.
• Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Individual will possess commensurate combination of education, experience and qualifications.
• Licensure/Certification: CNA I is required.
