About the role

We are currently seeking an Emergency Department Technician on our South campus. This position demands an individual who is self-motivated, works efficiently as a team member, able to follow directions, can remain calm in stressful situations, and demonstrates professionalism. This person would be under the direct supervision of the Registered Nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Physician with physical examinations and procedures
• Assisting the Registered Nurse with treatments
• Assisting with the comfort needs of our patients and families in emergency situations
• Maintaining supplies in the department and treatment rooms
• Transporting patients upstairs for admission

Requirements

• Minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service and communication are key requirements for this position

Qualifications

• Completion of an EMT or Nurse Aide Course is preferred (nursing school, medical school, previous hospital or military experience may substitute for this)

Schedule

Full-Time, Evenings. The patient assignment is variable, and orientation will be based on experience and level of comfort.
