Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join our fast-paced Emergency Department. This role provides care to patients with a wide range of conditions and illnesses, thriving on teamwork and a passion for excellent emergency care. The ideal candidate is a dedicated team player who enjoys learning and working in a trauma setting.

About the role

The ED Tech supports clinical staff by performing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) duties under RN supervision, collecting blood samples, correctly identifying patients, transporting specimens, and handling clerical, receptionist, and patient service coordination tasks.

Schedule

11:00 AM – 11:30 PM. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the State of Idaho and/or certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) by the State of Idaho or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from AHA, ARC, or the Military Training Network (required at hire unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk).
  • Six months of experience as a CNA or EMT preferred.
  • Recent experience working with pediatric patients and/or phlebotomy in an acute care setting preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
