About the role

The AOS98 Rocky Channels School system that serves Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Georgetown, Edgecomb and Southport is seeking a dynamic, passionate individual to work as a special education educational technician.

Responsibilities

• Support students in both the general education setting and the special education setting in either a one to one model or in small groups
• Work closely with the classroom teacher, case manager, and other related service providers to deliver instruction as necessary to implement the students Individualized Education Plans
• Create student work materials according to their plans
• Accurately record data on child’s progress

Requirements

• Appropriate State of Maine Ed Tech Certification through the State of Maine Department of Education

Qualifications

• Two [2] years of post-secondary education or a combination equivalent to 60 hours of approved study in an educationally related field; or for vocational education, two [2] years of paid applied employment within the field of assignment.
• Must have 90 hours of approved college credits

Benefits

• Contracted Days: 5 days per week/7 hours per day 175 school days

Pay

• The hourly rate for this role ranges from $20.92 to $27.80 depending on experience
