Role Overview
The ED Tech Level I provides multi-skilled, patient-centered care under the supervision of Registered Nurses in a fast-paced emergency environment. They perform vital signs, EKGs, blood sugar tests, wound care, and assist with procedures such as catheterization, sterile tray prep, dressing changes, and phlebotomy, ensuring aseptic techniques. They operate cardiac and pulse oximetry monitors, transport patients, supplies, and medications, and monitor patients in restraint or seclusion, documenting observations accurately. Additionally, they manage telesitter carts, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and respond to remote escalation needs. The role requires effective communication, proficiency in vital sign measurement, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, blood sugar tests, wound care, and assist with procedures such as catheterization, sterile tray prep, dressing changes, and phlebotomy, ensuring aseptic techniques.

Requirements
- Essential certifications: BLS.
- High school diploma or GED.
