Responsibilities

This temporary position involves paraprofessional work that requires the teacher assistant to assist the classroom teacher in performing a variety of tasks.

• Emergency plans
• Health-related plans/services
• Behavioral plans
• Carrying out instructional procedures
• Interacting with students, parents, and staff in a positive manner
• Working under the direct supervision of the teacher and/or building administrator, and/or appropriate Special Education Department administrator
• Assignment duration dependent on program needs and availability of funding
