About the role

This temporary paraprofessional position supports the classroom teacher by assisting with emergency plans, health‑related plans/services, behavioral plans, and instructional procedures. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the teacher, building administrator, and/or the appropriate Special Education Department administrator. The employee must interact positively with students, parents, and staff. Assignment duration depends on program needs and funding availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in executing emergency, health‑related, and behavioral plans, as well as instructional procedures.
• Operate under the direct supervision of the teacher, building administrator, or Special Education Department administrator.
• Engage with students, parents, and staff in a positive and professional manner.
• Adapt to the assignment’s duration based on program needs and funding availability.
