About the role

This temporary position involves paraprofessional work that requires the teacher assistant to assist the classroom teacher in performing a variety of tasks, including emergency plans, health-related plans/services, behavioral plans, and carrying out instructional procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher in performing emergency plans
• Assist the classroom teacher in performing health-related plans/services
• Assist the classroom teacher in performing behavioral plans
• Carry out instructional procedures
• Interact with students, parents, and staff in a positive manner

Qualifications

• Ability to work under the direct supervision of the teacher and/or building administrator, and/or appropriate Special Education Department administrator

Pay & Schedule

Position is 2 days per week. Duration of the assignment is dependent on program needs and availability of funding.
