ECE Paraeducator (HS/EHS) - 4 hrs/day (Oakdale)

About the role

Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre‑school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre‑kindergarten children, and in the community.

Responsibilities

Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Assists in developing play‑oriented curriculum.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a California Associate Teacher Permit (or Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college/university).
• NCLB compliance: 48 college semester units or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement.
• Documentation required: California Associate Teacher Permit or AA degree or higher; CPR/First Aid certification (pediatric); proof of NCLB compliance; proof of HS graduation (diploma, transcripts or GED); resume showing required experience; 6 ECE units.

Pay

$19.61 – $25.94 per hour (9 annual steps); placement based on relevant experience.
