ECE Paraeducator - 4 hrs/day (Preschool-Vineland)

About the role

Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms.
• Assists in developing play-oriented curriculum.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• 6 college units of Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education or other related field with emphasis on infant to pre‑school age children.
• Successful completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment.
• One year of experience in a preschool age enrichment program or child care setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (may be required).
• CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement.
• Required documents: copy of transcript showing 6 ECE units, CPR/First Aid certification, proof of HS graduation (diploma, transcripts or GED), NCLB compliance (48 college units or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam), resume providing clear evidence of required experience.
