About the Role
Assists one or more Early Childhood teachers in the education, care, supervision, and instruction of pre-school aged children, in classrooms, common areas, and playgrounds at a center dedicated to pre-kindergarten children, and in the community. Maintains and prepares classroom and related environments, materials, and control of forms. Assists in developing play-oriented curriculum.

$19.61 - $25.94 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on relevant experience.

Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 6 college units of Early Child Development, Early Childhood Education or other related field with emphasis on infant to pre-school age children
- Successful completion of at least 48 college credit units or passage of a competency assessment
Preferred Experience
One year of experience in a preschool age enrichment program or child care setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
- May require a valid driver’s license
- CPR/First Aid certificate with pediatric endorsement
Required Documents

- CPR/First Aid Certification (Requires a valid First-Aid card and CPR certificate)
- Proof of HS Graduation - High School Diploma or High School Transcripts or equivalent (ex: GED)
- NCLB Compliance (48 college units (semester) or pass the Paraeducator Proficiency Exam)
- Resume (Provide clear evidence of required experience)
