About the role

At Associates in Pediatric Therapy (APT), we provide compassionate, individualized care to pediatric patients between the ages of birth and three years, focusing on physical, social-emotional, self-help, communication, and cognitive development.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with patients' caregivers and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) through a Coaching Model.
  • Accurately document treatment sessions as well as progress or evaluation reports in detail.
  • Maintain professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities and uphold federal/state licensure and ethical expectations.

Requirements

  • For KEIS Providers:
    • Work closely with patients’ caregivers and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) through a Coaching Model.
    • Accurately document treatment sessions as well as progress or evaluation reports in detail.
    • Maintain professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities and uphold federal/state licensure and ethical expectations.
  • For KEIS Physical Therapist:
    • Examines and evaluates children from birth to age 3 with a variety of congenital and orthopedic conditions to improve mobility through skilled gross motor interventions including but not limited to gait training, equipment and orthotic management, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercises.
    • Holds a doctoral degree in Physical Therapy and an applicable and current, unrestricted license to practice (or in the process of obtaining license).
  • For KEIS Occupational Therapist:
    • Evaluate children from birth to age 3 for fine motor development, visual motor development, sensory processing and modulation differences, executive functioning skills, and more in order to determine impact on activities of daily living (ADLs), rest and sleep, education, play, leisure, and social participation.
    • Holds a masters degree in Occupational Therapy and an applicable and current, unrestricted license to practice (or in the process of obtaining license).
  • For KEIS Speech-Language Pathologist:
    • Evaluate and treat children from birth to age 3 for speech, language, oral motor, voice, fluency, articulation, or social communication disorders to achieve highest level of functioning and prevent regression.
    • Holds a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and an applicable and current, unrestricted license to practice (or in the process of obtaining license).
