About the role

The Salem R80 School District seeks an Early Childhood Special Education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Teach early childhood special education students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with parents, other teachers, and specialists to support student learning
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Participate in professional development opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field
• Valid Missouri teaching certificate in Early Childhood Special Education
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of early childhood development
• Experience with special education methodologies
