About the role
The Early Childhood Lead Coach under the Early Head Start and Head Start Director oversees and supports the classroom coaching staff.
Responsibilities
- Train and work with diverse adult populations.
- Coach adults in early childhood pedagogy.
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities including active listening, excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to motivate and encourage adult learners.
- Understand the economically disadvantaged population and the basic philosophy of the Head Start Program.
- Knowledge of developmental expectations of 0-5 year old children.
- Typing and filing ability, computer skills (Microsoft Word & PowerPoint).
- Interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Ability to train and work with diverse adult populations.
- Coaching experience and/or training adults in early childhood pedagogy.
- Strong leadership abilities; demonstrate active listening, excellent verbal and written skills, ability to motivate and encourage adult learners.
- Ability to understand the economically disadvantaged population and the basic philosophy of the Head Start Program.
- Knowledge of developmental expectations of 0-5 year old children.

Qualifications
- Two years of experience related to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay
$26.30 per hour. (2025 - 2026 Support Salary Table)
Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase.
Schedule
8 hours per day/202 days per year/Table 9 Lane 12.
