Early Childhood Coach
Abilities Network is looking for an Early Childhood Coach to join our Project ACT program, which serves Maryland’s early childhood community to promote high-quality care for all children through training and coaching.

About the Role
As an Early Childhood Coach, you will provide high-quality training and reflective coaching to educators and community members, directly impacting the success of the Project ACT program. This hybrid position requires availability to work some evenings and weekends with occasional overnight travel.
Responsibilities
- Assist childcare centers, family childcare homes, and other child-serving programs to implement universal strategies that promote a high-quality childcare environment, supporting programs with the Maryland EXCELS program.
- Provide connections with resources to support participation and advancement through the levels of EXCELS.
- Serve as a coach and mentor to early childhood educators to support the creation of developmentally appropriate settings and implementation strategies for supporting all children.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience working with children under age 6 and their families in an early childhood program.
- Coursework in curriculum and child development.
- Group training experience.
- Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of childcare systems, including Maryland EXCELS, accreditation, environmental rating scales, and training requirements.
- Experience with curriculum and training development.
- Experience with reflective and/or practice-based coaching.
- Excellent oral and written communication with demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with all types of technology.
- Maintains a flexible and collaborative work ethic.

Pay
The starting rate of pay for this position is $45,000 per year and is non-negotiable.
