Early Childhood Education Teacher (Infant & Toddler/Preschool)

Wilcox Academy of Early Learning is seeking qualified teachers and coaches to join its professional team. The academy offers enriched early childhood education to children in New Orleans, focusing on promoting physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.

Responsibilities

• Interact and implement age-appropriate programming through play
• Develop partnerships with parents and guardians
• Provide confidence and tools for children to guide their life's journey
• Teach across various developmental areas
• Assess children's progress and provide guidance
• Collaborate with colleagues and families

Requirements

• CDA or higher degree required for Infant and Toddler Teachers
• CDA or higher degree required for Preschool Teachers

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience working with children in the age range of 8 weeks to 5 years
• Knowledge of child development and educational theories
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay

$13 per hour without a CDA or higher degree, $16.25+ per hour with a CDA or higher degree

Schedule

40-hour work week with flexible hours between 7 am and 5:30 pm
