Early Childhood Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Tallmadge, OH • Part-time • 20 hours per week

About the role

SparkJoy ABA, in partnership with Finni Health, is seeking high-energy, playful, and compassionate Behavior Technicians to provide ABA therapy to children with autism. You’ll work 1:1 with children in their homes, turning learning into a game and celebrating every small victory with genuine enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Be a Play Leader: actively play, move, and engage a child to help them meet their goals.
• Teach Through Action: use creative, high-movement methods to teach communication, social cues, and daily living skills.
• Collect progress data and collaborate with supervising BCBAs to ensure the child is thriving.
• Support Families: build trust with parents through consistent, upbeat communication and in-home support.

Requirements

• Naturally outgoing, energetic, and comfortable being high-energy to keep a child engaged and learning.
• 1+ year of experience working with children (daycare, camp counselor, teaching, coaching, or similar).
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes in the Tallmadge area.
• Commitment to passing RBT Certification within 90 days of hire (training and cost covered).
• Proof of completion of a 40-hour Behavior Technician training course is preferred but not required to interview.
• Comfortable working inside client homes and visiting neighborhoods within the assigned Tallmadge territory.

Pay

$17 – $22 per hour (based on experience and certification status)
