About the Role
Join our Retirement consulting team in providing expertise to support global organizations in optimizing the effectiveness of their employee retirement programs. Whether a client has a defined benefit pension or a defined contribution plan, you will work with them to determine the right approach to designing, funding, investing, communicating, governing, and managing employee retirement solutions that align with their specific goals.
As a Retirement Intern, you will work alongside industry-leading consultants, gaining exposure to real client assignments that will develop your technical knowledge, analytical skills, and industry expertise. You will contribute to problem-solving, data analysis, and presenting results while collaborating in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Support client engagements by analyzing retirement plan data and drawing actionable conclusions.
- Assist in designing, funding, and governing retirement solutions tailored to client needs.
- Develop and present findings to internal teams and clients.
- Learn about WTW’s broader service offerings and how they complement retirement consulting.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality client solutions.
Requirements
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, public health, health management, actuarial science, or another major with significant quantitative coursework (minimum overall GPA of 3.0).
- For actuarial students: Successful completion of one or more actuarial exams is highly preferred.
- Work experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills (analyst-type internships preferred).
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without visa sponsorship (student visas, CPT, OPT, H-1B, TN, and other temporary work authorizations are not eligible).
- Membership in the IABA or OLA organization and attendance at their respective 2026 annual meetings.
Pay
The hourly rate for this role is $28–$35 per hour. This position is eligible for overtime pay.
