About the role

Centerline Communications is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to innovative telecommunications infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will work with experienced engineers on structural analysis, design, and field-related challenges while developing the technical and professional skills needed for long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to jump to multiple jobs at once and multitask well
  • Self-starter with desire to develop more industry skills and learn exciting new technologies
  • Works well with teams, but also with little supervision
  • Accurately and timely document job information
  • Excellent communication, electronically and in person
  • Works outside in all weather conditions if needed
  • Willing to put in extra hours when needed, but also enjoys the shorter hours when available
  • Accurately follows instructions and completes assigned tasks in accordance with scope of work
  • Understands and strictly adheres to established customer quality requirements without deviation
  • Exercises adaptability in new situations and projects
  • Self-starter with desire and ability to learn and retain knowledge
  • Works with teams and independently
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and administrative skills

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Passed the engineer-in-training or fundamentals of engineering exam (EI or EIT), required
  • PE in civil structural engineering or SE a plus but not a requirement
  • 2-6 years of experience in Wireless/Telecom Industry
  • Understanding of antennas, fiber, carrier services, and other wireless equipment
  • Experience with structural analysis and design with towers and mounts required
  • Experience with water tank and rooftop design is plus
  • Experience and working knowledge of AutoCAD and construction drawing preparation
  • Technical knowledge of steel, concrete, and masonry
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of TNX Tower and Risa 3D required
  • Knowledge of Enercalc, PLS Caisson, and BlueBeam Programs preferred

Qualifications

  • Willing to travel within local markets and no travel restrictions within the United States (15% travel, but usually less, usually 1-2 day trips)

  • Effective communication both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and related software
