About the role
Join BakerRipley’s Coastal Bend team as an Early Care and Education Specialist and make a meaningful impact across an eleven-county region by strengthening the quality of early childhood programs and provider partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner within the Texas Rising Star program, recruiting and supporting child care providers through hands-on coaching, technical assistance, and delivery of impactful trainings.
- Conduct on-site visits to mentor and guide providers toward meeting TRS certification standards while assessing needs, sharing resources, and distributing developmentally appropriate materials that enhance classroom environments.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships and deliver high-quality support to help elevate early learning experiences for children and families.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, child psychology, educational psychology, elementary education, or family consumer science; OR - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with at least 18 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, child psychology, educational psychology, elementary education, or family consumer science with at least 12 credit hours in child development; OR - Associate’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special education, child psychology, educational psychology, elementary education, or family consumer science with two years of experience as a director in an early childhood program, with preference given for required experience with a provider that is accredited or TRS certified.
- Experience: 1 year of full-time early childhood classroom experience in a childcare, Early Head Start, Head Start, or prekindergarten through third grade school program.
