About the role
Join BakerRipley’s Rural Capital Child Care Services team as an Early Education Mentor. This dynamic and relationship-driven position involves partnering closely with child care providers participating in Texas Rising Star (TRS).
Responsibilities
- Deliver hands-on mentoring, coaching, and technical assistance that strengthens classroom quality, supports inclusion, and drives continuous improvement.
- Guide providers in achieving and maintaining TRS standards, preparing for monitoring, and enhancing program systems that directly impact children, families, and educators.
- Track progress, ensure compliance with regulatory and workforce requirements, and collaborate with internal teams and community partners to improve service delivery and outcomes.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Child Psychology, Educational Psychology, Elementary Education, or Family and Consumer Sciences; OR Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in another field, with a minimum of 12 credit hours in Early Childhood Education AND 18 credit hours in Child Development, Special Education, Child Psychology, Educational Psychology, Elementary Education, or Family and Consumer Sciences; OR Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Child Psychology, Educational Psychology, Elementary Education, or Family and Consumer Sciences, along with a minimum of two years of experience serving as a director in an early childhood program.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of full-time early childhood classroom experience in a child care center, Early Head Start, Head Start, or prekindergarten through third-grade school program.
