E&I Technician

Description

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an E&I Technician at their Sawmill in Cottonton Al. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of industrial E&I experience or a 2-4 year industrial E&I certificate/diploma from an accredited school. Key responsibilities include:

• Work safely and understand Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Interpret and work with electrical and instrumentation schematics and drawings.
• Use electrical test equipment such as multi meters, meggers, and amp probes.
• Have a good understanding of PLCs and ladder logic.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues independently.
• Familiarity with 480v 3 phase motor starters.
• Ability to trouble shoot 240v, 120v, and 24v circuits.
• Understand hydraulic systems and be able to troubleshoot them.
• Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives.
• Be available to work overtime and third shifts.
• Pass written testing requirements.
