About the role
The Electrical Technician provides maintenance service to production lines, performs and helps develop preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance procedures, inspects, operates, and tests machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions, maintains complete records of work performed using office software, Maximo, and detailed logs, participates in plant EHS programs, and assists in developing them for new equipment.
Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance service to production lines.
- Perform and help develop preventive, predicted and reactive maintenance procedures.
- Find and order parts, supplies, and equipment, or obtain them from storerooms as needed.
- Inspect, operate and test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Maintain complete records of work performed using office software, Maximo and detailed logs.
- Participate in plant EHS programs and assist in developing them for new equipment.
- Perform general and specialized facility, IT, and electrical maintenance.
- Perform equipment change-overs and assists in production line set ups as needed.
- Analyze machine error messages and information from operators to diagnose and repair equipment.
- Help establish repair frequencies, PMs and parts inventories for new and existing equipment.
- Have good mechanical skills to support the equipment.
- Be willing and able to work 6 days per week, with occasional days off.
- Work with the plant group to manage records regarding all system software changes and communicate any changes to affected departments.
Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- One Year Certificate from College or Tech School
- Associate’s Degree
- 3+ years of related industrial electrical experience
- RSLogix experience
- Familiarity with NFPA70E Electrical/ Arc Flash Safety principles
- Familiarity with industrial portions of the National Electrical Code
- Electrical theoretical basics to include Ohm’s law, AC and DC motors, semiconductors, and combinational logic
- Knowledge of at least one common PLC platform (preferably Allen Bradley), including ladder logic-based problem solving and program modifications
- Knowledge of and installation/problem-solving experience with common switches and sensors, such as proximity, photoelectric, and mechanically activated devices - Pressure and differential pressure switches, Electric and pneumatic valve actuators, Pressure, level, and flow meters in process applications, RTDs, thermocouples, and electric transmitters
- HART, 4-20ma, and 3-15 PSI standard instrument signaling and control systems - Handheld electric metering equipment (multimeter, ammeter, frequency meter) - Chart recorder, oscilloscope, and other diagnostic equipment, AC fixed speed motors (single and 3 phase), including motor control circuits - AC and DC variable speed drives in standalone and system-line drive applications - Electronic and pneumatic single loop controllers, including basic tuning - Common industrial lighting - 480, 240, and 120V power equipment, including transformers, circuit breakers, and MCPs with ratings and applications

Qualifications
- Required:
