Responsibilities
- Support your team in making deliberate improvements in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) as well as housekeeping performance.
- Ensure 100% compliance of assigned EHS requirements, process safety, food safety, and quality standards.
- Execute required preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices.
- Identify and implement improvements in systems, processes, and personal development and as assigned by department and/or shift.
- Ensure all training requirements are met within the specified time frames and train other personnel as required by Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager.
- Ensure preventative, autonomous maintenance and equipment sanitation work practices are executed as required by department.
- Perform maintenance and repair of site’s electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Perform work order tasks and support work order flow through MMIS.
- Perform troubleshooting of site’s electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Support scoping and planning of work orders.
- Follow parts procurement procedures.
- Support updating and documentation of equipment BOMs and PMs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Wrench time (hands-on tool engagement and productivity)
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or High school equivalent (HSE) including GED and Maine HiSET.
- Basic math skills and computer skills.
Helpful but Not Required
- 1–3 years of electrical experience, ideally supported by a two-year trade or technical college degree.
- Experience in a manufacturing or chemical production environment.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and act with urgency.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Professional demeanor and presentation skills.
