About the role

This initial assignment provides confirmation of selection into the KPMG Assignment Select (KAS) dynamic bench program. Candidates who complete the program’s key activities may be considered for future contingent worker projects within their relevant skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, providing financial and business due diligence assistance to Fortune 1000 and middle market companies and private equity investors.
  • Interface with senior executives of clients and target companies.
  • Analyze and synthesize target company data to identify historical and projected financial and operating trends, quality of earnings and working capital considerations and potential liabilities and risks which impact valuation and negotiation of the target company.
  • Create and design tailored transaction advisory reports specific to key issues such as normalized earnings, valuation model input assumptions, achievability of management's budget, indebtedness considerations, borrowing base calculations and/or business combinations and carve-out financial statements.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of recent experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college/university is preferred; minimum of a high school GED or diploma is required.
  • Strong current knowledge in one of the following: mergers and acquisitions, financial analyses on profitability of the company, excel functionalities, and United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Securities and Exchange Commission financial reporting issues, International Financial Reporting Standards, mergers and acquisitions, or transaction services.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Skills

  • Onsite (2-3) days a week – HYBRID – Tues, Wed and Thursday.

Benefits

Notwithstanding, KPMG may consider Contractor for contingent worker opportunities that align with the Contractor’s skill set. Notwithstanding, KPMG does not guarantee any such future project assignment, or additional hours/payments beyond the initial set-up and training period.

Pay and Hours

  • Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including market data, ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD, technology), and specific location, for example.
  • Engagement of Contractor will be through their employer/agency of record, and questions or concerns regarding pay, benefits, or hours of engagement should be directed to Contractor’s employer/agency, and not to KPMG (which is a third-party recipient of services).

Pay Rate Range

30 - 40 USD hourly
