Duty Supervisor

Requirements / Qualifications

• These are 10 month positions and hours will vary but cannot exceed 3.75 hours/day.
• Training and Experience:
• A good work history which demonstrates dependability and reliability.
• Knowledge of:
• School safety rules and regulations.
• Safety precautions appropriate to student activities.
• Student behavior management strategies and techniques.
• School and recreational activities.
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
• Basic written and spoken English.
• Ability to:
• Establish and maintain professional relationships and conduct with staff, students, and parents.
• Supervise and discipline students according to approved policies and procedures.
• Work in a cooperative manner with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and other duty staff.
• Serve as a model and work with students in a manner that promotes positive student cooperation and motivation.
• Use sound judgment in dealing with daily problems, concerns and solving conflict.
• Communicate in a clear concise manner to students, administrators, teachers, parents and other duty staff.
• Understand and carry out instructions from administrators or other school personnel.
• Respond to emergency situations including fire drills and lock-downs.
• Act quickly and make decisions.
