Job Summary
The Due Diligence Group Manager oversees a team completing environmental due diligence projects in the Portland market and Pacific Northwest Region. The role involves leading a team to ensure high-quality work, collaborating with leadership to grow the practice, and managing team operations.
About the Role
Lead a team of staff to complete environmental due diligence projects, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. Collaborate with regional and environmental service line leadership to develop and implement a Growth Strategy and Operations Plan.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety efforts and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines.
- Collaborate with regional and environmental service line leadership to develop and implement a Growth Strategy and Operations Plan.
- Oversee and manage operational success, including revenue growth, staff chargeability/utilization, and project profitability.
- Develop and manage employee staffing plans, recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
- Prepare and execute growth strategy and annual business plan.
- Lead and oversee proposal efforts and work capture, including pricing strategies.
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
- Develop strong understanding of project-related risk and advocate for protecting the Company.
- Be familiar with the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) Site Remediation Program and the Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology.
- 10 years of professional experience completing:
- ASTM Standard Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Phase II ESAs
- Transaction Screens
- Records Search and Risk Assessments
- Environmental Compliance Assessments
- Familiarity with Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ) Site Remediation Program and Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) Program.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
Qualifications
- Preferred Certification: Certification or licensure in field of expertise.
